    Job Description

    The assistant superintendent supports the field superintendents and construction office staff in the daily activities associated with residential construction. Primary duties include performing a variety of tasks to support the construction superintendents on quality walks, the follow up of minor items on punch lists from quality walks. Assist construction team with ensuring a clean and safe job-site. Walk homes as time permits in a training role to learn and understand the Robson build process. Assist construction superintendents with building inspections as needed, inventory management of portable toilets, trash dumpsters, etc. Will perform other job duties as assigned.

    PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES

    • Assists Construction Superintendents with quality walks such as pre-drywall walk and pre-orientation punch (POP). Follow up on minor punch list items with subcontrators to ensure final punch items are complete for pre-drywall orientation/MEPS inspection and buyer orientation. Talk with subcontractors performing punch repairs to ensure proper communication and completion of punch items takes place.
    • Assist construction superintendents with monitoring the cleanliness of all subcontractors’ work in homes and within the community. Performs general project clean- up when directed by Project manager or Superintendent. Includes sweeping of streets, community sidewalks and verifying common area landscape tracts are free of construction debris and trash. Performs general Storm Water Pollution Plan (SWPPP), site inspections daily.
    • Walk homes with construction superintendents at various construction phases to learn and understand the build process, systems/software, communication and job responsibilities of a superintendent.
    • May manage and be responsible for 1-2 designer homes in a training role with oversight by Project Manager, General Superintendent or Superintendent to gain knowledge of building process, management process, plans, scopes, specs, safety, quality requirements of superintendent role.
    • May assist in managing the distribution and ordering of all portable toilets and trash dumpster placements as needed.
    • Document and report all safety violations.
    • If assigned, walk homes with building inspectors as needed. Communicate with construction superintendents and subcontractors on inspection results. Assist construction superintendent with follow up of minor corrective items identified during building inspection to prepare home for re-inspection.

    Requirements

    • 1+ years previous home building experience preferred
    • College courses preferred.
    • 1+ years of subcontractor experience preferred

    This position is directly responsible for the construction and quality control of all homes as assigned.Primary responsibilities include overseeing the construction of assigned homes on or ahead of the written schedule distributed by the Project Manager. Maintain regular communication with each homebuyer (no less than once a week) updating them on the progress of their home. Maintain a daily phone log of calls to sub-contractors for documentation.     • Updates the production schedule with the Project Manager weekly and progresses each contractor for payment when acceptably complete.
    • Contacts and conducts the pre-construction meeting with the Buyer either in person or by phone.
    • Follows through on the Buyer Orientation list completing all items within (5) five days before Buyer takes possession.
    • Responsible for maintaining a clean jobsite inside and outside of homes including adjacent lots and common areas.
    • Ensures houses are ready for required inspections and gives inspections to be called to designated person by appointed time.

    Requirements

    • One year new home construction superintendent experience.
    • Ability to read blueprints.
    • Highly motivated with good communication and motivational skills.
    • Good organizational skills and follow through for satisfactory completion.

    This position is a working supervisor for the restaurants which may include dining rooms, bistros, snack bars or other F&B outlets at the HOA communities. The primary functions of the position may include creating the work schedules, monitoring/training staff and performing same tasks during shifts which may include seating, dining service, bar service, food preparation at quick service locations, and ensuring monetary transactions are appropriately tracked. May be involved in resolving guest complaints and handling employee issues. Performs other related duties as assigned.

    PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES

    • Supervise/train staff, including working various positions associated with the particular facility, as needed. Will monitor service to ensure food, drinks and service are acceptable. Customer service may include greeting guests and providing supervisory presence on floor/in the facility to handle any customer issues, resolve questions between front of house and kitchen staff and provide assistance to staff.
    • Ensure facility is set up and closed down properly at start and end of shifts. Ensures all closing steps are maintained relative to cash and credit card transactions. Can include inventory/storing of food/ensure proper cleaning/labeling.
    • Prepare work schedules and associated paperwork for employees and accounting (ie. Tip reporting, POS for timecard reporting, change forms, new hires, etc.)
    • Employee involvement – supervisory tasks; interviewing/hiring.

    Requirements

    • Experience with POS or similar syst
    • Previous Supervisory experience in F&B environment.
    • Banquet Experience
    • Food Handler’s Card
    • Basic and Manager Alcohol Training
    • Ability to train staff
